At its Dec. 3 meeting, the Bend Urban Renewal Agency authorized a promissory note of $161,000 to secure construction of a 10-foot multiuse path along the southern boundary of Juniper Ridge and adopted an amendment to the agency's capital improvement program that rolls project dollars into the next biennium and adds approximately $20,000 for Coulee/Talus Road improvements.
Staff estimated the path cost at just over $130,000 and said the promissory note value includes a 20% contingency to cover cost escalation, bringing the security amount to $161,000. Agency members discussed earlier difficulties securing county right-of-way for a segment connecting to 18th Street and acknowledged further coordination with Deschutes County and UGB-expansion work may be needed to finish the full connection.
The motion to authorize the promissory note and the CIP amendment passed by voice vote.
