Lisa Schuyler, Health Promotion Supervisor for Clatsop County Public Health, briefed the Board of Commissioners on a vacancy in the nine‑member Human Services Advisory Council and said that after an open recruitment the council recommends appointing Nicholas Bowling to fill the seat representing Commissioner District 3.

Schuyler told the board the council had been reduced to eight members and conducted recruitment before forwarding Bowling’s name as the recommended appointee. Chair Quela and commissioners offered brief thanks and noted the item will be processed through normal appointment procedures; no formal vote was recorded at the work session.

The matter was presented as a short informational item and will return for any formal action required by the board.
