Speaker 1 introduced the resolution and asked for clarification about whether the incoming funds would be treated as a collection or drawdown. Speaker 3 explained that many grant accounts must be deposited to a specific account and spent according to the grant terms, noting that timing of state reimbursements can create short-term discrepancies.

During discussion, Speaker 6 and others said the 24/7 program account typically accumulates small deposits over time and that drawing funds back for other uses was possible but undesirable. Several commissioners agreed the transfer was appropriate and moved to approve the resolution; the board adopted the amendment by voice vote.

The board did not attach additional conditions to the transfer. Next steps noted in the meeting include confirming accounting entries so the county’s auditors and the grant administrators reflect the change.
