Presenter Lindsay Runyon reviewed the mural timeline, selected photographs and layout dimensions with the Englewood Cultural Arts Commission, asking commissioners and staff for missing images and factual edits. "I did have, I think the commission was actually formed in 2017, so that's 1 edit that I know I need to make," Runyon said, and she asked communications staff to verify that date.
Runyon showed zoomed-in mockups to illustrate header and body font sizes and noted column and photograph widths so commissioners could better visualize final wall panels. She said she will share a final PDF with communications and circulation to Sean and Tim for any last feedback and has spoken with a printer about a two- to three-week lead time for production.
Commissioners suggested sources for older photographs and asked for alternatives to the Arapahoe Acres image and an aerial of the city center without overlays. Lucia said she would follow up on archival images and consultant-supplied aerials. Runyon also said the project team is engaging Carl to gather feedback from Native tribes on how communities want to be identified and that staff will incorporate any requested changes before a final vote.
The commission did not take a formal vote on the mural package at the meeting; Lucia said a final vote would be needed because the work uses funds tied to the Cultural Arts Commission. Runyon said she will circulate a final PDF ahead of the next meeting for the commission to review and, if necessary, vote.
