Tori Parks of the Onslow County Public Library described a fall local author showcase scheduled for Nov. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the main library. The event will include author meet-and-greets, tables where attendees can browse and buy books, and short conversations or panels.

Parks said the showcase will feature a range of genres including poetry, fiction, nonfiction and memoirs and will include a coffee truck called KC Brews. She encouraged visitors to bring books for signing and to consult the library website and social media for details and other programming schedules.

The library is promoting the event through its website, Facebook and newsletters; Parks said the showcase aims to strengthen ties between local writers and readers and create a personal connection between authors and their audiences.
