The 187th District Court called several cause numbers for Adrian Isaac Hernandez on Dec. 4. Counsel announced that discovery had been received and reviewed. The court advised Hernandez that he was charged with collision causing injury and two counts of aggravated robbery; the range of punishment for aggravated robbery was explained as five to 99 years or life and up to a $10,000 fine. Counsel confirmed the defendant understood the plea documents, waiver of jury trial and waiver of appeal and that the state would present its case via stipulation to police reports and witness statements.

Defense stated that live witnesses would appear at the next hearing. The state opposed applications for deferred adjudication in some counts but the defendant applied for deferred adjudication in the cases that allowed it. The court accepted the stipulations and evidence and scheduled a live-witness hearing, including a deferred-adjudication decision, for Jan. 26, 2026. At that time the court will review any additional evidence and make rulings on the applications and any pending motions to revoke.
