The Derry Area SD Board approved routine financial and personnel business during its reorganization meeting.

Finance: Miss Smart presented the monthly financial report. She reported a beginning balance as of Sept. 30, 2025 of $438,670.79; total receipts of $3,036,650.02; total investments returned of $1,235,000; total investments of $1,650,195.54; and total disbursements of $2,878,985.20. The board moved to approve payment of bills as presented and accepted the financial report by voice vote.

Personnel: The board approved published personnel items A–C and motions under personnel employment. It approved a motion to provide a $75-per-day stipend to Kathy Perry for elementary substitute principal services covering Dec. 9, 2025 through the start date of the incoming principal. The superintendent noted that the start date for the incoming principal (referred to in the transcript as Dr. Justin Cooley) depends on a release from the River Valley School District for the outgoing administrator, Dr. Kolick.

Other business: The board tabled business affairs item A (Clearview tuition rates) pending further information from the Intermediate Unit and approved a schedule of committee appointments and meeting dates for 2026.

What happens next: The district will post meeting dates and committee rosters, file financial records in the minutes, and complete personnel paperwork contingent on the incoming principal's release date.
