The Calcasieu Parish Division of Planning and Zoning presented proposed amendments to Chapter 26 of the Calcasieu Parish Code of Ordinances at the board's Nov. 18 meeting. Planning staff asked the board to recommend approval of the proposed changes.

Coach Williams moved to recommend approval and Miss Latricia Cobb seconded the motion. Staff reported there were no public comments or opposition. The board voted in favor and the motion passed.

The board also recorded for the record that the police jury on Oct. 23, 2025 approved a prior planning and zoning recommendation regarding Sprint Rail Partners LLC. The board noted the next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025. The meeting was recorded for broadcast on the Calcasieu Parish Government Channel and information on viewing dates is available at calcasieu.gov.
