Community Service Supervisor Alberto Rea gave an overview of the 28th annual Santa Claus program and volunteer operations.

Rea said the program has "a total of 300 and, 98, youth participants" in the transcript record; presented here as 398 youth participants as reported by staff. He said approximately 240 volunteers are currently signed up to assist and that the volunteer check-in will be at about 6:00 AM at Walmart on the morning of the event. Rea also noted the program has received cumulative donations totaling "a little bit over 500,000" since its inception and said thousands of volunteers have supported the program historically.

The program purchases gift cards and gifts with donated funds and relies on large volunteer participation; Rea said the list of volunteers was still growing. He invited commissioners to assist and confirmed name badges and logistics for volunteer shifts.
