At the Nov. 25 meeting the commission reviewed a state-provided video-gaming revenue report for October that staff posts on the Village of Villa Park liquor-commission webpage and will include in future packets.
"This is actually comes from the state of Illinois, and they provide this report, on a monthly basis. This 1 is for October," Commissioner De Tomaso said, noting the village keeps the report updated online. A staff representative explained that red boxes on the spreadsheet indicate missed payments and that the staff liaison is in charge of collections. "The red boxes are indicating that we did not receive a payment for that month, and our staff liaison is in charge of making those collections," Julie said.
Commissioners noted unpaid collections could affect renewals. Staff reported they are working on collections and hope to present the next packet without red cells. The commission asked that the monthly report accompany future agendas to allow members time to review the data in advance of meetings.
