Hampton Township Council voted Nov. 19 to extend its contract with Jordan Tax Service to continue collecting real‑estate taxes for the township for 2026 through 2029.

Staff told council they solicited a proposal from Berkheimer Tax Services, which would have reduced annual costs by about $812. Staff recommended retaining Jordan, however, citing Jordan’s onsite presence in the township building during busy tax‑payment periods, familiarity with local stormwater fees and service to the school district, and concerns that Berkheimer might not staff a local office to the same extent.

Council members acknowledged the due diligence. The award motion was moved, seconded and approved on a roll‑call vote without recorded opposition.
