Mayor Anthony Villasci read a proclamation honoring Gia Florio, a senior at Magnificat High School and a lifelong Seven Hills resident, recognizing her reported milestone of 1,000 career assists and the volleyball team's run to the Ohio semifinals.

Rec Director Jen Berger and sports director David D'Alessio then recognized the boys U9 fall soccer team for a perfect season, presented awards to coaches and praised volunteer parents and grandparents for their support.

The recognitions were ceremonial; no formal council action or vote was required. City officials encouraged residents to attend upcoming recreation events, including a Santa arrival Nov./Dec. weekend event and seasonal fitness promotions at the rec center.
