The Hingham School Committee recorded a series of routine and substantive votes at its Nov. 24 meeting.

Minutes and committee business: The committee approved minutes from Oct. 27 and Nov. 10, and approved the salary negotiation subcommittee minutes (11/19/2025), during which a tentative agreement with the bus drivers for 2026–2029 was announced.

Grants and donations: The committee accepted three PTO grants: Hingham High School PTO mini‑grants totaling $9,031.20, South School PTO grants totaling $2,926.72, and an East School PTO gift of $354 for a first‑grade 'Balloons Over Bridal' activity. Speaker 6 noted the high school PTO grants will fund 'swell' classes and arts materials; motions to accept each gift were made, seconded and approved by voice vote.

Field trip: The committee approved an out‑of‑state field trip for the Hingham High School boys hockey team on Dec. 6 (destination stated as Smithfield, Rhode Island). The motion was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.

Executive session: The committee voted to adjourn to executive session and not return to open session to approve prior executive session minutes and to discuss strategy related to collective bargaining or litigation (Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 30A, §21(a)(3)); roll‑call votes were unanimous 'Aye.'

The committee confirmed its next regular meeting will be Dec. 15 (all‑virtual) and Jan. 12, 2026, when the budget season begins.
