The Kent County Community Health and Safety Committee convened at 8:31 a.m. and opened public comment; no members of the public spoke.

Commissioner Morse moved to adopt the minutes of Sept. 23, 2025; Commissioner Merchant supported the motion and the committee approved the minutes by voice vote. The committee then heard two special order presentations (Veterans Services Agency and Housing Next), received brief housekeeping items about a canceled Dec. 18 board meeting and a rescheduled Dec. 16 committee meeting to consider appointment recommendations, and adjourned after a motion from Commissioner LeGrand supported by Commissioner Bujak, approved by voice vote. The committee noted there are about 60 vacancies to fill and nearly 200 applications under consideration.
