The Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs reported on a petition and accompanying resolution (Senate No. 2684) from Cynthia Stone Cream and Alice Hamlin Pice to rescind prior Article V constitutional convention applications; the committee reported the accompanying resolution "ought to pass," but Senator Durand moved to postpone the matter until the next session without objection.
A House bill (House No. 4006) authorizing the Town of Dartmouth to grant an additional off-premises retail alcoholic beverages license came from the House "passed to be engrossed." Senator Grama moved to suspend the rules to consider the bill forthwith; the rules were suspended and the bill was ordered to a third reading.
Separately, the Senate voted to pass two House bills to be enacted: an act relative to affordable care rentals (House No. 2616, as amended) and an act increasing the membership of the Board of Health of the Town of Marblehead from three to five members (House No. 3912). The presiding officer announced the bills had passed by voice vote and that the president would sign and lay the bills before the governor for approbation.
