During its Nov. 17 meeting the Weston City Commission reappointed Vice Mayor Mead to serve as vice mayor for a one‑year term under Section 2.02 of the city charter.

Mayor Margaret Brown made the nomination; Vice Mayor Mead accepted. Commissioner Byron Jaffe briefly nominated Commissioner Mary Melinda McPhee as an alternative, and members spoke in support of both, but the roll‑call vote confirmed Vice Mayor Mead by unanimous vote. The City Clerk will reflect the appointment in the minutes and post the updated roster.
