The Egg Harbor Township Committee voted to adopt Ordinance 26 on Nov. 12, confirming township title to Block 3801, Lot 1 on Spruce Avenue and repealing a prior ordinance (Ordinance 53 of 2002).

Solicitor Friedman summarized the ordinance as an action to repeal the earlier ordinance and confirm township ownership after an interim tax foreclosure. The mayor asked whether anyone in the public wished to comment; no members of the public addressed the ordinance. A motion to close the public portion was made and seconded, and the committee proceeded to a motion to adopt Ordinance 26. The committee approved the measure by roll-call votes.

The ordinance will be effective according to the township’s standard ordinance-adoption procedures; a public hearing had been held and the vote recorded at the Nov. 12 meeting.
