The Greater Clark Schools Board of Trustees on Nov. 11 approved a construction-manager contract with Core and a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $30,074,137 for the new Founders Point Elementary School. An administrator said the district expects an initial disbursement of roughly $20,000,000 from the 2025 D bond series as construction work begins.
At the same meeting the board approved separate contracts with Perfection Group to provide HVAC and roofing work at Founders Point. The approved HVAC contract was listed at $6,920,006.83; the roofing contract was presented with an estimated cost of $2,836,326. The presenter stated these amounts are included in the project budget tied to the district's 2025 bond issuance.
Trustees asked several clarifying questions about warranties, labor responsibilities and long-term service. In response, an administrator said Perfection Group will provide warranty work, labor during construction and ongoing maintenance afterward and that the HVAC systems use "open controls," allowing other vendors to work on the equipment in the future. "They're really moving," the presenter said about the Founders Point site.
Board members moved, seconded and approved each contract by voice vote; the clerk recorded no roll-call tallies in the transcript.
The district packet notes the Founders Point work will be reported on the 2025 D bond series. The administrator told trustees the GMP is a partial disbursement estimate and the district will receive funds incrementally as project invoices are submitted and approved.
Next steps include contract execution and scheduled construction activity; the presenter said site work is already underway.
