The Greater Clark Schools Board of Trustees accepted donations and administrative expenditures during its Nov. 11 meeting.
Donations and in-kind gifts reported to the board included funds and items for multiple schools — Charlestown High and Middle, New Washington Elementary and Middle/High, and Parkview Middle. The presenter listed two $2,500 donations earmarked for therapy dogs (one from First Savings Bank) and in-kind printers and consumables from GearUp Indiana; the total gifts accepted was presented as $10,647.74.
The board also considered a resolution authorizing supplemental pay for teachers listed in district materials to compensate completed duties. The presenter explained the supplemental pay is to allow payment to teachers who completed specific duties; the board moved, seconded and approved the supplemental-pay resolution by voice vote.
Separately, the board authorized staff to advertise a request for proposals for facilities-management services at the end of the current five-year term. The administrator said the forthcoming RFP will seek proposals for another five-year contract, with an automatic five-year renewal clause and an escape clause for either party, and that the RFP will be posted to the district website under the business office and the presenter's department.
Each of these administrative items was approved by motion and voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tallies.
