Several recognition items were on the agenda and were adopted by the board. The board proclaimed Nov. 20 National Adoption Day in Amador County and accepted remarks from Andrea Sexton, court executive officer for Amador Superior Court, who described the court’s adoption day event and participating partner agencies. The board also adopted a resolution honoring Rich Vila upon his retirement from his role in county public works; Vila spoke briefly and thanked colleagues and family.

Members recognized the Clerk of the Board staff with a proclamation for Nov. 17–21 as California Clerk of the Boards Week, introduced retiring clerk Jennifer and incoming clerk Vicky, and took photographs. The board also read a congratulatory letter from the state auditor recognizing the county’s financial transaction reporting; county finance staff accepted the recognition and noted repeated success in reporting accuracy.
