The Liberty Public Schools Board approved several procurement actions and policy updates during its regular meeting.
Operations director Mr. Anderson presented a contract recommendation for Schneider Electric Buildings Americas Inc. to perform energy and construction services on the DMS and SVMS roof projects in 2026. A board member moved to "approve the energy and construction services contract for Schneider Electric Buildings Americas Inc.," and the motion carried after roll-call style confirmation of members.
Anderson also explained two emergency contracts that the district had expedited to ensure interpreter services were available for IEP meetings in languages the district did not previously have readily available. "We had to accelerate execution on both for securing interpreters for IEP meetings," Anderson said, adding that pricing differences reflect language demand. The board moved and approved the emergency contracts.
On policy, the board approved a slate of policies and accompanying administrative procedures including EHPD, GCPA, IGBA-1, JEC-1, JFCA, JFCG, JG, JGF, JHDE, JHDF and JHD following a motion and affirmative vote.
The board also approved a pulled consent item: a $54 reimbursement (check No. 732900) to Karen Rogers for expenses related to the Missouri School Boards Association conference.
Votes at a glance: the motions to approve the policy slate, the Schneider Electric contract, the emergency interpreter contracts, and the reimbursement were all carried in board votes recorded on the transcript.
What happens next: operations staff will finalize contract execution with Schneider Electric and report on project timelines; finance will process the approved reimbursement and contracts, and the district will monitor interpreter services and pricing as needed.
