The Davis School Board approved two sets of elementary boundary adjustments affecting Eagle Bay, Canyon Creek and several Syracuse-area schools following committee study and public comment.

Mr. Forsgren proposed a phased realignment to transition traditional English students in grades 4–6 from Eagle Bay Elementary to Canyon Creek Elementary: fourth grade in 2026, fifth grade in 2027 and sixth grade in 2028. "We're here to propose that we go forward with the phased realignment," Forsgren said; Miss Price moved the motion, Miss Stevens seconded it, and the board approved the plan by voice vote. Board member Miss Powell said feedback from her community was mixed but that the proposal appeared to be the best available solution at this time.

For the Syracuse-area study, Dr. Helene Van Natter, the boundary consultant, presented proposed maps and reported public feedback: 41 comments were received and 37 supported the consultant’s preferred option. Van Natter explained the recommended plan balances junior-high feeder patterns and accounts for declining enrollment patterns at Bluff Ridge. Miss Price moved and Miss Powell seconded the Syracuse-area boundary motion; the board approved it by voice vote.

Both actions were voice votes; the transcript did not include individual roll-call tallies. Implementation timelines were described in the presentations; families impacted by the changes will receive follow-up information from district staff.
