The Northampton City Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to continue a hearing on a variance to add a fourth parcel to a shared driveway at 0 North Farms Road, moving the next hearing to Jan. 22, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. and extending the board’s decision deadline to Feb. 12, 2026.
The application was submitted by Thomas Reedy and is recorded as application LU-25-16. Board members read into the record that notice of the hearing was published June 26 and July 3, 2025 and that the matter had been continued previously without deliberation on July 10, Sept. 25, and Sept. 30. Staff reported that the applicant requested the new dates the day before the meeting.
A board member moved to postpone the hearing per the applicant’s request, including the explicit waiver to push the decision deadline to Feb. 12, 2026. After a second, the board took a roll-call vote; the motion passed unanimously with Chair David and members Elizabeth and Aaron voting in favor.
A staff member confirmed the rescheduled hearing date and time for a neighbor who was present at the meeting and who had come to address the matter. The board asked staff to add the Jan. 22 hearing and the Dec. 11 meeting (where quorum was confirmed) to the calendar.
The board provided no additional public testimony on other matters during this portion of the meeting; the abutter who attended was informed of the rescheduled date and time. The board’s next procedural step is to reconvene on Jan. 22, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. to continue evidence and deliberations on application LU-25-16.
