During the citizens-addressing portion of the Nov. 17 meeting, Michael Burrow introduced himself to council members and residents. Burrow said he lives at 131 Overlook Drive in Kent, Ohio, recently retired after 34 years in education and administration, and is running for the 2026 open state senate seat in District 27, which includes portions of Portage, Geauga and Summit counties, including Baberton.

Burrow told the council he intended to attend future meetings to better understand local concerns, highlighted priorities including support for public education, affordable housing and property-tax issues and asked council members to accept his contact information after the meeting.

He did not seek or receive any formal council action during his remarks; the comment was recorded during the public-comment period.
