The Tippecanoe County Board on Nov. 17 approved a master service agreement with Tech Systems Global Services LLC to establish general terms and conditions for future technical projects.

Staff said the agreement lays the groundwork so that when a specific project arises, a statement of work and fee schedule will be brought to the board for approval. The agreement does not include a set term but can be terminated on 60 days' notice, and staff cited previous arrangements with vendors (for example, a phone-system vendor) as precedent for this type of standby agreement.

A commissioner moved to approve the master service agreement and the board approved the motion by voice vote. Staff noted there are no projects currently planned under this agreement, and specific scopes and fees will return to the board when projects are proposed.
