Delhi Township Fire Chief Campbell told trustees on Nov. 12 that the department is scheduled for an Insurance Services Office (ISO) review on Nov. 24 as part of the ISO’s five-year evaluation cycle.

Chief Campbell said the department currently holds a Class 2 rating, which places it among the top roughly 2% of fire departments nationally and can affect property-insurance costs for residents. He described the audit as comprehensive — involving facility visits, equipment inspections and review of fire reports — and said the department hopes to retain the Class 2 rating; results are expected in January or February.

The chief explained the ISO scale runs 1–10 (1 is the highest rating) and emphasized the local benefits of maintaining a Class 2 recognition. The board members congratulated the department and wished them well for the upcoming audit.

Trustees did not take formal action on the ISO item; it was presented as an informational update. The police and parks departments also provided service and event notices during the meeting, including a reminder that Delhi Pike will close at about 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 for the Christmas parade.
