Following a special swearing-in ceremony on Nov. 17, the Pennsauken Township Committee conducted regular business and advanced an ordinance on first reading and approved a multi-item consent package.
The committee announced an ordinance for first reading to repeal Ordinance 2025-05, which the clerk described as the ordinance that provided for salaries and compensation for officers and employees for 2025 and beyond. The committee set the public hearing on that ordinance for Dec. 18, 2025. A motion to place the ordinance on first reading was made and seconded; a roll-call vote recorded affirmative responses from the committee members present.
The committee then considered and approved a consent agenda that included: purchase of a software program through the state cooperative purchasing program (listed as NJ State/York Telecom Corporation), resolutions with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program items, a municipal budget transfer and insertion of a special item of revenue, refund of zoning board escrow fees, unpaid municipal charge liens for grass cutting, and a notice of National Opioid Settlement proceeds totaling $140,158.75.
The consent package was approved by roll-call vote. The clerk read resolution and agenda item identifiers during the meeting; the recorded roll call showed committee approval for the consent items. No public comment was recorded on these items at this meeting.
