The Solanco School District Board of School Directors took several routine actions at its Nov. 17 meeting.
On motion and second, the board approved minutes from the Oct. 20 and Nov. 3, 2025 meetings. The board then accepted the October financial reports as presented by business manager Mrs. Tucker: the General Fund (receipts $3,127,106.08; disbursements $7,048,518.65; balance $32,366,879.59), the Capital Project Fund (Oct. receipts $116,530.82; balance $30,532,541.05) and the Cafeteria Fund (Oct. receipts $220,798.55; balance $1,428,082.41). All three reports were approved by voice vote.
The board also approved routine operational items: renewal of the district’s annual E‑Rate service contract with consultant Kristen Van Scribe (fee structure described in the meeting as $4,000 for Category 1 and $3,500 for Category 2, totaling $7,500), approval of Sunday building use requests for a youth baseball group in Jan.–Mar., and disposal of bus No. 69 after staff reported the vehicle has reached end of useful life and salvage value is the most likely recovery.
