At its Nov. 17 meeting the McCracken County Fiscal Court approved several personnel moves and a small service contract.

The court ordered that Jessica Houseman fill the remainder of Jewel Jones's term on the 911 appeals board, with the term ending Nov. 27, 2026. It also approved appointments of Mark Mavigliano and Carl Fisher to the county extension board effective Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2028.

The judge executive was authorized to sign a one-year professional services agreement with Reforged LLC to establish a peer-support counseling program for the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. The contract, as read into the record, runs from Dec. 1, 2025 through Nov. 30, 2026 and the treasurer was authorized to pay $360 on the first of each month. A county staff member explained that KRS allows public agencies to establish peer counseling where employees exposed to traumatic events can receive support from trained peers; the contractor will provide four hours of training per month and assist in setting guidelines and referral parameters.

The court also approved promoting James Eric Tynes to department head of Building and Electrical effective Dec. 7, 2025, at an annual salary of $68,000 (less statutory deductions). Members discussed internal hiring and succession during the record.

All motions were approved by voice vote.
