Lisa Santucci, president of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership, told the council the partnership received national accreditation through Heritage Ohio and the Ohio Main Street program after demonstrating measurable outcomes in downtown revitalization. She noted Tipp City joined Ohio Main Street in 2016 and described the accreditation criteria: grassroots-driven revitalization, public-private partnerships, economic opportunity for small businesses and historic preservation. Santucci also reminded residents of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership parade, Christmas parade and tree lighting scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
Council members offered congratulations during member comments. Mr. Liddy and others encouraged residents to attend and have safe holidays.
City staff (Mr. Mack) reported an operational service issue: the city's trash collection contractor failed to collect about 25% of that day's route for residents with Monday service; staff said affected homes will be served the next morning. The update was presented as an operational notice with no vote.
Council also briefly noted local school athletic achievements and community volunteer efforts during member comments.
The meeting moved on to other agenda items after public comment and council remarks.
