The Jones County Board of Appeals approved a variance for Jeffrey Hall to allow an accessory building in the front yard of his property because the backyard cannot accommodate a structure due to a septic tank and bleeder lines. Hall told the board he needs a pole barn to protect a camper and a boat that were previously damaged.

Hall said the only feasible location is the side of the house between the dwelling and Bridal Drive (the house faces Confederate Drive), and a motion to approve the variance passed after a second and a voice vote. The presiding officer described the decision as final tonight.

Hall thanked the board for its consideration at the close of the item.
