The Apache Junction Library Board elected its officers for the coming year during its Nov. 13 meeting. Robin Barker was nominated for president, the nominations were closed, and the board approved Barker by roll call. Several board members offered brief endorsements during the nominations; Vera Walters said, "Robin is so knowledgeable here in the community. I'd like to see her as president."

Barbara Fitzgerald was nominated and seconded for vice president and was approved by roll call. The board then nominated newly seated board member Alexandra Huayroba for secretary; the board closed nominations and approved Huayroba by roll call.

Roll-call votes were recorded for motions to accept nominations and to approve each officer. The meeting record shows unanimous "yes" votes from the attending members for each of the officer appointments. The board completed the officer elections before moving to requests for future items and adjournment.
