After the public hearings, commissioners covered routine business and upcoming events.

The commission discussed skipping the December meeting (consistent with past practice) and confirmed the next meeting would be January 15, 2026, unless an emergency arises. Staff reported finding historical land‑use maps created by former planner Jack Larson and other agencies; staff said they will review the maps and consider reproducing them while noting accuracy may be limited by age.

Miss Hall and the Chair also discussed an upcoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) audit of the county's environmental program (BAC program), and Miss Hall said she expected DEQ comments to arrive the following day. The Chair noted a Board of Zoning Appeals meeting scheduled next Thursday relating to a variance connected to the heliport matter. Finally, the Chair invited commissioners and the public to a Westland Beach project dedication the next day at 3 p.m.
