The Coventry School Committee voted unanimously to approve a 2026 meeting calendar that balances in-office broadcast quality with periodic in-school visits.

Superintendent Cowart presented two drafts: one placing all meetings at Central Office to take advantage of superior audiovisual setup and easier executive-session logistics, and a second version rotating some meetings to school locations on a multi-year rotation so committee members would physically visit each school during their terms. Committee members expressed support for maintaining the option to visit schools for special events and asked staff to ensure adequate notice and posting for off-site meetings.

Member Bradford Mayer moved to approve Version 2, which schedules most first-month meetings at Central Office and rotates second-month meetings at different schools; the motion carried 6–0. Cowart said staff will post the approved calendar on the district website and to the secretary of state as required.

Next steps: the district will post the calendar online, make exceptions for special events when warranted, and bring any needed schedule adjustments to committee agendas for approval.
