The Cumberland School Committee approved several student activity and instructional requests on Nov. 13, including two overnight athletic trips and homeschool instruction requests.
Mr. Crowley described the CHS wrestling trip to the Sanford Spartan Invitational (Jan. 2026): 14 athletes will attend, coaches Gorman and Delvecchio will chaperone, travel is self-transport and no instructional time will be missed. The committee approved the wrestling trip 7–0.
Mr. Crowley also described a girls’ ice hockey tournament trip to Martha’s Vineyard (Jan. 16–18, 2026) for the seven-school cooperative; three Cumberland players will attend with parents providing transport and host-school chaperones. The committee approved that trip 7–0.
The committee also approved homeschool instruction requests for the 2025–26 school year (motion approved 7–0) and discussed 2026 committee meeting dates, which will be voted on at a future meeting.
