The Ways & Means committee approved two parks resolutions on Nov. 13. Parks staff said Paddles requested only a one-year license extension rather than a three-year renewal while it reorganizes; the county granted the shorter term.

Staff also clarified a resolution regarding enclosure work at Emerson Park: the project will enclose two shelter-type structures south of the museum to house artifacts from a deteriorating log cabin rather than replace the log cabin itself. Parks director Doug told the committee the friends of the museum are considering whether to rehabilitate or remove the original cabin in a future multi-year plan.

Both motions were moved and carried by voice vote during the committee meeting.
