On Nov. 12 the Osage County Commission approved multiple personnel and financial items in open session.

Personnel actions: Commissioners approved hiring Roger Lane (Road & Bridge) at $16 per hour effective Nov. 13, 2025, and Haley Capone as motor vehicle clerk in the Treasurer’s office at $16 per hour effective Nov. 12, 2025. Motions for both hires were moved, seconded and carried.

Grants and support: The board approved a letter of support and Title VI recertification for the Franny Dieters Senior Center’s application for the FY2027 Section 5311 rural transit grant.

Bills and payroll: Commissioners approved a general vendor batch for 11/12/2025 totaling $493,743.43 and a sheriff’s vendor batch totaling $25,206.56. The Commission also approved payroll for the 11/05/2025 pay date in the amount of $725,630.61 and an additional payroll correction of $19,916.20 related to leave-time adjustments in the sheriff’s office. The chair noted she was approving payroll “hesitantly” pending more detailed department breakdown reports from CIC and requested staff continue refining report access and reconciliation procedures.

Next steps: County staff will continue to improve report runs and department breakdown capabilities in CIC, file and sign the approved documents, and follow up on reconciliation tasks raised during the BT and Co. presentation.
