A separate two‑year enhanced protection contract for the Town of Ripley was approved; the contract includes a not‑to‑exceed cap of $70,000 (approximately $35,000 per year). Committee members noted some towns that once participated have dropped out over time.
Finally, the sheriff's office described negotiated two‑year court security contracts for Kayenta, Stockton, Poland and Maina starting January 2026; these were included in the 2026 budget and approved by the committee.
