Airport staff briefed the committee on a recommended lease for Hangar 12 at Lynchburg Regional Airport following an RFP process.

"The space that we're recommending for lease is a hangar... we're calling it Hangar 12," the airport presenter said, describing a roughly 12,000‑square‑foot hangar with associated office space. Two proposals were received; the RFP committee recommended Bonaire Brokerage LLC. The proposed lease term is five years with starting rent of $13,500 per month and annual escalators, and DavisAir is listed as a guarantor on the lease.

Staff noted the incumbent tenant has asked to terminate its contract and that the recommended award will be presented to council in a public hearing that evening for final approval.

The committee did not vote during the work session because the item is set for public hearing on the council docket.
