She offered brochures and a website link and said the product would be available at Home Depot in 2026 and through other distributors.

Mike McLaughlin said the product is manufactured in Fontana from U.S.‑sourced steel coil, asserted a 45‑year lifespan backed by ICC reports, and asked the commission to recommend a municipal code amendment so homebuilders could use the product as an alternative to masonry walls on interior returns and sidelines of tract homes. He said the company is not seeking to replace masonry on main arteries but to offer an option for interior lot lines.

No formal action was taken on these comments; they were recorded as non‑agendized public comment. The commission did not take a vote on any code changes during the meeting; staff or commissioners may refer the matter to city council or to the planning department for follow up if they choose.
