Speaker 1 referenced a webinar and framed the issue as one of "local control," then moved that Carroll County contribute $500 toward ISACs requested pool. Speaker 8 seconded the motion; the board approved the $500 contribution by voice vote and directed staff to include the payment in payables so the check can be issued by the stated deadline.

The ISAC request, as presented, seeks contributions from counties to reach a total pool of approximately $25,000. The boards action is procedural: it commits $500 from county funds to ISAC's request and does not itself initiate litigation. Board members said they had reviewed ISACs letter prior to the meeting.

The board recorded the motion and carried it by voice vote; staff confirmed they will place the $500 on the payables list for the current payables run to meet ISAC's timeline.
