The Carroll County Board approved the payables list and several routine actions at its Nov. 12 meeting, including large equipment costs and the annual weed commissioner filing.

The auditor/finance staff presented payables totaling $885,597.55, which included the recently delivered motor grader discussed earlier by Secondary Roads staff. Secondary Roads staff said the motor grader "came in late last week" and that the county is still evaluating a postless-wing configuration reported as a new design. The board approved the payable list by voice vote.

Earlier in the meeting, the board approved two secondary-road utility permits: a 2-inch cased waterline to a private home north of Highway 30 in Maple River Township and an electrical service on 250th Street in Richland Township. Speaker 5 moved to approve the utility permits and Speaker 7 seconded; the motion carried.

The board also approved the annual weed commissioner report for 2025; staff noted the incumbent had retired and that the county plans to post a combined weed-commissioner/mechanic job opening. The board carried that motion as well.
