Johnson County Council approved the second reading of Ordinance 2025‑11 at its Nov. 10 meeting, permitting the recorder’s office to use memoranda/perpetuation fund monies to pay certain 2026 operating expenses, including salaries, FICA and medical expenses.

Council took the item on second reading, a motion to approve was made and seconded, and the ordinance passed by unanimous voice vote. Councilmembers thanked recorder staff and noted this is a routine administrative use of authorized recorder fees and related fund balance to support office operations.
