At its Nov. 10 meeting the Johnson County Council approved several routine and housekeeping items by motion.

Tracy Smith, Johnson County WIC coordinator, requested a bookkeeping correction to add a distribution line for a clinic assistant; the council approved the transfer after confirming it was not a new position.

The council combined and approved three highway department additional appropriations (D2–D4) to support Bridge 602 design work, a federally funded school zone flasher project for unincorporated county school locations, and the county share of the Whiteland Road/Sawmill Road intersection improvement under an interlocal agreement.

Council authorized sending an endorsement letter on county letterhead to support the Edinburgh Main Street OCRA grant application; staff were asked to coordinate the final language with legal.

In old/new business the council approved sending the animal shelter job classification and compensation maintenance plan to WIS for review to correct an incorrect classification for a deputy warden/road commander; council members said the action does not change current salary and is a clerical classification correction.

All items were approved by motion and voice vote as presented.
