At its Nov. 10 meeting the Torrington City Council approved routine business items including appointments and tax‑collector recommendations.

Appointments approved included: Stephen Thompson as a regular member of the Zoning Board of Appeals with a term through Dec. 14, 2027; reappointment of Randall Stelma to the Zoning Board through Dec. 1, 2025; and appointment of Ivy Altman as an alternate through Dec. 15, 2028. Motions were moved, seconded and carried on the record.

The council also accepted the tax collector’s recommendations presented under Items 9 and 10. The clerk’s office asked to amend a prior motion to correct an expiration date to Dec. 14, 2030; council agreed and recast their vote in favor of the amended motion.
