The School Town of Speedway school board unanimously reaffirmed its annual statement of board ethics and approved its 2026 meeting schedule at its meeting.

Speaker 2 read the ethics statement and Speaker 3 moved to reaffirm it; Speaker 4 seconded. Speaker 4 told the community, "I'm unaware of another board in this state really, that is as congenial as we are," praising the board's collegial approach to governance. The motion passed 4-0.

The board also approved the 2026 meeting calendar, with meetings set for the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the SMC, except for October, which will be on the first Tuesday. The presiding officer called the vote and the schedule passed unanimously.

The meeting opened by confirming the date and time for the annual retreat; that vote also passed 4-0.
