The American Fork City Council on Nov. 11 approved several procedural but consequential items during its meeting.
Budget adjustments: Council voted to adopt amendments to the fiscal‑year 2026 budget after staff explained that higher‑than‑anticipated sales tax revenue and salary line items required updates. Council members asked how temporary revenue gains should be used; staff said salaries are budgeted conservatively, one‑time needs could be covered from fund balance, and the council adopted the adjustments on a recorded roll call vote.
Utility easement: The council approved a right‑of‑way agreement granting Rocky Mountain Power an easement along the east side of the administration parking lot. Staff said the developer will pay the cost to place lines underground; a fence will be installed under a separate site‑plan resubmission. Council member Carol moved and Council member John seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Disposition of property: The council adopted a resolution authorizing the disposition of lost, mislaid or seized property; Council member Holly moved, Council member Taylor seconded and the resolution passed on a roll‑call vote.
Consent agenda: Earlier in the meeting the council approved a four‑item consent agenda by unanimous vote.
