Human-resources representative Dr. Gresham presented personnel recommendations, and the board approved hires, leaves and a termination.

Dr. Gresham asked the board to consider certified hires — Cyrene Eckhoff (temporary math teacher at Castle High School) and Melinda Hummel (temporary music teacher at Oakdale Elementary) — and noncertified hires including program assistants. "The human resource office has the following business to bring before the board tonight," Gresham said, and the board approved the slate by motion.

The board also approved the termination of Beth Scott, a 6.5-hour cafeteria employee at Castle High School, effective Oct. 27, 2025. Dr. Gresham reported multiple approved leaves, a classified staff transfer (Kaylee Curtis), an early return from leave (Andrea Lasher), a canceled previously approved leave (Alyssa Piper), and several resignations with effective dates through mid-November 2025.

The personnel actions were approved by voice vote where motions were made and seconded. The board did not provide roll-call vote tallies for these items.
