The Springdale School District board approved several routine and financial items at its Nov. 11 meeting, including the consent agenda, the October financial statements and a related-party payment for music arranging services.

The consent agenda was approved by motion (mover Mr. Ramos; second Mrs. Cook) and a voice vote. Finance staff presented the October financial statements and noted that property tax collections to date are about $2.3 million ahead of the same point last year; staff also said the building fund revenue for October included a partnership reimbursement for HVAC work at George Elementary. Staff told the board the district's first debt-service payment was due Nov. 15 and payments have been submitted and will appear in next month's statements. The board approved the October 2025 financial statement by motion.

Separately, the board considered and approved a related-party transaction resolution to pay John Vanzant for music arranging services rendered to Southwest Junior High. Staff said the services were specialized and the packet included a contract-disclosure form and a resolution requesting approval. A motion to approve the related-party transaction passed by voice vote.

Board members did not request additional review of the vendor selection during the meeting; the motion passed on board voice votes as recorded in the meeting minutes.
