The Oklahoma County BET discussed next steps on an RFP to add a behavioral care center to the county workforce on Nov. 10.

Speaker 2 reported that three firms submitted proposals and that the evaluation committee "plans to recommend to BOCC by the end of the month" based on interviews. Speaker 2 said the evaluation committee will forward recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners; the BET did not finalize any funding source or commit county funds at the meeting.

Board members asked whether policy and governance staff were tracking the RFP review and whether BET representatives had attended interviews. Members discussed options if the trust representatives could not present today, including recessing briefly to allow trust members to arrive, adjourning and scheduling a special meeting, or waiting until the December meeting. Speaker 6 said the trust was meeting across the hall and that several trust agenda items, including executive session items, made immediate presentation unlikely.

No formal action was taken on Item 5; Speaker 2 said the evaluation committee will follow up with a recommendation to the BOCC by month-end.
